With my increased contact with the public I hear more and more people who say they are lactose intolerant. I have found this great resource to help clear up some misconceptions. I am sharing it with you to reference people that you might hear say “Oh I wish I could have that …but I am lactose intolerant”…
Do you know someone who considers themselves lactose intolerant? Moovision.com corrects misperceptions about lactose-free milk through fun, light-hearted videos, cooking competitions and mock news segments.
Well this has been a crazy week indeed!
My refrigerator went out in my cheese room and I lost 40 tubs of cheese. Oh it could have been so much worse but frustrating just the same.
I ruined my first batch of cheese. We had added more almond hulls to our cows feed. That made increased butter fat in the milk. With that, it changed my normal timing in making my cheese as it set quicker….live and learn! I corrected my mistake and started with a fresh batch of milk and came out with another beautiful batch of cheese. Ready to sell at market.
A shining moment in this week was speaking to the Ag Communication students along with some dairy students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I was invited to share my blogging/social media journey in trying to put a face on the farmer. I was honored at the turn out of students and staff that came to listen. I am not a public speaker but they made me feel so comfortable and were so attentive.
They renew my energy in what I do. They are our future and it looks so very bright! Thank you so much for the opportunity!
One last note! I look forward to checking in on a very pregnant Chica this week. I look forward to sharing her progress.
Well that’s it for this week…..I hope yours was a good one!
